About the Role

Apexon is seeking a highly motivated
Senior QA Engineer
with strong expertise in
Mobile Application Testing
to join our Quality Engineering team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about delivering exceptional mobile experiences through comprehensive manual testing while also contributing to automation initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience testing native and mobile applications across both
iOS and Android
platforms, along with exposure to modern automation frameworks.

Key Responsibilitie
  • Design and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for mobile applications
  • Perform detailed manual testing across iOS and Android platforms to ensure functionality, usability, compatibility, and performance
  • Conduct regression, smoke, exploratory, integration, and end-to-end testing
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Developers, Business Analysts, and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and validate application functionality
  • Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects using bug tracking tools such as Jira
  • Validate new releases to ensure production readiness and maintain high-quality standards
  • Analyze defects, reproduce issues, and work with developers through resolution
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
  • Mentor junior QA engineers and promote QA best practices across the team
  • Continuously improve testing methodologies, processes, and quality standards
Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance with a strong focus on
Mobile Application Testing
.
- Solid experience testing native mobile applications on
iOS and Android
platforms.
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and STLC.
- Experience creating detailed test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test documentation.
- Hands-on experience with defect management and test management tools such as
Jira, TestRail, Bugzilla
, or similar.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Preferred Automation Skills

Experience with one or more of the following is highly desirable:

  • Programming languages such as Java, Python, or Swift
  • Mobile automation tools including:
  • Appium
  • Selenium
  • Espresso
  • XCTest
  • Other modern mobile automation frameworks
  • Understanding of automation framework design and test scripting.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Exposure to API testing tools such as Postman or similar.
  • Experience with performance or accessibility testing is a plus.
  • ISTQB or other QA certifications are preferred but not required.
