Job description

Overview:
APEX TK is looking for an amazingly talented Junior Data Analyst to join our team! In this role you will get to provide analytical support to the MDA Chief Architect's Warfighter/International Integration office (MDA/CAI) in its mission as the single point of contact for wargame requirements development, campaign planning and analysis and to the Warfighter for all engineering and technical issues related to the missile defense system.
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Develop/improve software packages and provide analysis of missile defense-related system capabilities to MDA/CAC in their role leading the development, planning, and execution of MDA's wargame event requirements.
  • Support analysis through modeling and simulations with application to wargaming.
  • Apply the best practices used in DoD test and evaluation analysis processes, development of analytical products, and campaign planning to MDA wargaming.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:
  • Bachelors degree and 7+ years of experience supporting missile defense programs or other related defense programs
  • Active Secret Clearance (TS Preferred)
  • Ability to travel is required
  • Working knowledge of Software development in Python/VBA or MATLAB.
  • Familiarity of DoD software packages such as AFSIM, and MDASim.
  • Working Knowledge of missile defense threat systems and familiarity with threat modeling/representation.

What Preferred Skills You'll Bring:
  • Experience in missile defense-related or other DoD large project systems or test analysis.
  • Master's degree and 7+ years of experience in software development and integration.
  • Familiarity with wargame processes when integrated with software to develop clear and concise written products to be delivered to MDA personnel and warfighters.
  • Able to effectively communicate in working group meetings with over 50+ attendees in support of MDA/CAC wargame campaigns.
  • Familiarity with project design in software languages (Python/VBA) from conception through completion to allow streamlining of wargaming events to improve data collection.
  • Familiarity with, or comfort to pursue knowledge in, DoD visualization tools (e.g. Qlik Sense, Power BI) for data presentation and outward facing communication with 2/3 LTR's at MDA.
  • Top Secret/SCI clearance.
