Job Responsibilities: The Junior Purchasing Analyst will support the Strategic Category Lead in managing sourcing activities, supplier relationships, and cost optimization initiatives for indirect goods and services. This role is responsible for data analysis, market intelligence, and reporting that enable fact-based decision-making and strategic category management across global operations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Data Analysis & Reporting
    • Collect, analyze, and interpret purchasing and market data (pricing, volume, supplier performance).
    • Prepare dashboards, reports, and presentations to support category strategies and executive updates.
    • Ensure data accuracy in procurement systems (SAP/ERP or other tools).
    • Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce costs, and mitigate supply risks.
  • Market & Supplier Intelligence
    • Monitor indirect spend categories and market trends, including pricing, supply/demand shifts, and global trade impacts.
    • Benchmark suppliers and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Category & Sourcing Support
    • Assist in the development and execution of sourcing strategies for indirect categories.
    • Support supplier negotiations through data preparation, cost analysis, and scenario modeling.
    • Maintain supplier databases, contracts, and performance scorecards.
    • Support sustainability and compliance initiatives within the supply base.

Education/Special Knowledge - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field. Experience - 1-3 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, finance, or data analysis (internships or co-ops considered). Physical Demands/Work Environment - Normal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer, may require local, domestic and international travel.
