Job Summary:
We are seeking a Junior Contract Analyst to support the Defense Health Agency (DHA) in managing acquisition and procurement activities within a mission-driven environment. This role involves supporting the full contract lifecycle, including planning, analysis, and execution, while ensuring compliance with Federal and DoD regulations. The ideal candidate will provide analytical and advisory support to ensure effective contract management and timely, accurate, and compliant procurement operations. 
Key Responsibilities
  • Support acquisition and procurement activities throughout the contract lifecycle
  • Assist in preparing, reviewing, and administering federal contracts, modifications, and procurement documentation
  • Ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) requirements
  • Conduct market research, price analysis, and cost analysis to support procurement decisions
  • Analyze procurement data and provide recommendations for contract actions and acquisition strategies
  • Coordinate with government stakeholders, contractors, and vendors regarding procurement activities
  • Support fact-finding, issue resolution, and contract-related problem analysis
  • Maintain acquisition records, reports, and procurement documentation
  • Utilize procurement and contract writing systems such as PD2 (preferred)
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and correspondence using Microsoft Office tools

Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 24 semester hours in business-related fields such as accounting, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, marketing, or quantitative methods
  • Minimum 2 years of experience supporting federal contracting or procurement functions in a GS-1102 or equivalent environment
  • Knowledge of federal contracting principles, procurement regulations, and acquisition procedures
  • Familiarity with FAR and federal procurement policies
  • Understanding of price/cost analysis and procurement evaluation methods
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), MS Project, and Adobe Acrobat.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of federal and DoD acquisition procedures
  • Experience with PD2 contract writing system
  • Familiarity with government procurement reporting and compliance processes
  • Experience supporting defense or civilian federal agencies
