Job description

Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a detail-oriented Junior Accountant. In this dynamic and rewarding role, you will be responsible for supporting key financial operations, gaining hands-on cost accounting experience, and collaborating directly with cross-functional teams. In a Junior Accountant job youll be responsible for:

  • Recording and reconciling daily transactions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general ledger entries.

  • Assisting with month-end and year-end close processes, journal entries, and supporting schedules.

  • Supporting inventory costing, cycle counts, cost of goods sold (COGS) calculations, and variance analysis.

  • Reconciling bank statements and vendor accounts while tracking fixed assets and depreciation schedules.

  • Assisting with sales tax filings, compliance reporting, and internal/external audit documentation.

  • Collaborating with production and procurement teams to resolve cost-related inquiries.

What youll need:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • 02 years of related experience (including internships).

  • Proficiency in MS Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites.

  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

  • Familiarity with cost accounting, a manufacturing environment, or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Dynamics 365) is a plus.

  • Progress toward CPA certification is preferred.
