A Power App developer working on this specific project would be responsible for designing and maintaining a canvas Power App comprised of five distinct workflows, each tailored to meet unique operational requirements. The developer's role involves handling the ingestion and transformation of data from diverse sources including Azure, SQL databases, CSV files, and SharePoint. This ensures that the app efficiently integrates and manipulates data, providing seamless functionality across different components of the business process
Skills Required
  • Experience with Canvas and Model Driven Apps: Proficiency in both types of Power Apps is essential, as each has its unique design and functionality applications.
  • Comfortable with Data Modeling: Ability to design and manage data in ways that make it useful for building apps, including understanding entity relationships and data integration.
  • Solid Understanding of DAX Language: Knowledge of Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) is crucial for creating advanced calculations and data manipulations within Power Apps.
  • Experience creating and updating Dataflows: Dataflows are used in our application to ingest data into Dataverse as well as meshing with various other flows to export from the tool.
  • Solid Understanding of SQL: Proficient in Structured Query Language (SQL) for managing databases, querying data, and handling sophisticated data operations.
  • Solid Understanding of Data Ingestion and ETL Processes: Familiarity with the techniques of extracting, transforming, and loading data is key for integrating and consolidating data effectively.
  • Power App Administrator: Administrator knowledge including but not limited to how to create and manage security groups, user management, environment management (development and production environments), storage management, and licensing.
  • Experience with Dataverse and Cloud Technologies: Understanding of Microsoft Dataverse for storing and managing data used by business applications, and general proficiency with cloud services and infrastructure.

Nice to Have
  • Experience with JSON: Knowledge of JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) for data interchange between web applications and servers.
  • Comfortable with Query Tuning: Skills in optimizing and refining queries to improve performance and resolve latency issues in databases.
  • API exposure: Future development efforts include integration with various APIs to write back to source tables.
