Overview
QBE, LLC seeks a motivated, career- and customer-oriented Senior Network Engineer to join our team in Doral, FL. The Senior Network Engineer will support enterprise network planning, design, operations, and security for mission-critical environments. This role requires deep technical expertise in classified network operations, network security, Cisco technologies, DISA STIG compliance, and coordination with cybersecurity and operational stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Plan, design, and maintain the connectivity of enterprise network assets, ensuring compliance and secure operations on classified networks, including SIPR, NIPR, and JWICS.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to address connectivity requirements and implement necessary configurations to facilitate efficient and secure data transmission.
  • Ensure all network switches and routers are operational, properly configured, and compliant with DISA STIG requirements; perform regular maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting.
  • Configure, maintain, and monitor firewalls, intrusion protection systems, intrusion detection systems, and Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) for network access control and authentication.
  • Implement security measures for specialized systems and networks.
  • Support the planning and implementation of enterprise service connections between networks, systems, and applications across domains.
  • Facilitate connections for auditing, authentication, secure cloud computing architecture (SCCA), cross-domain solutions, and guards.
  • Collaborate with ISSOs and Cybersecurity Services Leads in the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process by providing inputs, documentation, and technical guidance.
  • Mentor and train NOC staff and Junior Engineers.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree in a field necessary to assume Network Engineer responsibilities. Four additional years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • Nine (9) or more years of experience, including five (5) or more years of relevant Network Engineer experience.
  • Must have a current and active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Deep understanding of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols, as well as network security principles.
  • Expertise configuring and managing network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies, including IOS and NX-OS, and security appliances such as ASA firewalls and Cisco ISE.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools.
  • Knowledge of virtualization and cloud networking concepts.
  • Experience securing classified networks, including SIPR, NIPR, and JWICS.
  • Experience implementing DISA STIGs.
  • Experience with cybersecurity frameworks and standards, including the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and RMF.
  • Knowledge of network access control and authentication mechanisms.
  • Ability to assess and mitigate network security risks.
  • DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a relevant discipline.
  • Experience with cross-domain solutions and guards.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing security architectures, including SCCA.
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools for network management.
  • Familiarity with the ITIL framework and service delivery concepts.
  • ITIL Foundation certification.
  • Relevant networking certifications, such as Cisco CCNP, CCIE, or CompTIA Security+.
  • Experience at a DoD Combatant Command, such as SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, SPACECOM, or a component is desired.

Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for up to 50% of the time.
  • Must be able to deliver clear and effective communication verbally and via email, phone, and virtual communication platforms to interface with co-workers and customers.
  • Must be able to occasionally move about inside an office environment to access file cabinets, office machinery, and communicate with co-workers.

The projected compensation range for this position is $125k - $145k.
