Job description

We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead the development, optimization, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes that enhance quality, efficiency, and productivity. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to implement innovative manufacturing solutions, support new product introductions, and drive operational excellence. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a passion for process improvement.

Position Responsibilities Manufacturing Process Development
  • Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and product quality.
  • Evaluate existing production methods and implement process improvements.
  • Support the introduction of new products by developing scalable manufacturing solutions.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes meet safety, quality, and production requirements.
Continuous Improvement
  • Lead Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze production data to identify opportunities for increased productivity and cost reduction.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for manufacturing issues.
  • Drive process standardization and best practices across operations.
Equipment & Tooling
  • Support the selection, installation, and validation of manufacturing equipment and tooling.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance and Operations to improve equipment reliability and performance.
  • Develop preventive maintenance recommendations and process documentation.
  • Evaluate automation opportunities to improve manufacturing capabilities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Production teams to achieve operational goals.
  • Provide technical leadership during product launches and process changes.
  • Support supplier and customer quality initiatives as needed.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across manufacturing teams.
Documentation & Compliance
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, work instructions, and process standards.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality systems, and applicable industry regulations.
  • Monitor key manufacturing performance indicators and recommend improvements.
  • Support internal and external audits when required.
Prerequisites
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Extensive experience in manufacturing engineering within a production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing, process optimization, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with manufacturing equipment, automation, tooling, and production systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional projects and manage multiple priorities.
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
  • Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE)
