Adapting to new responsibilities like delegation, managing team dynamics, and providing constructive feedback can require a shift in mindset. Additionally, learning to communicate effectively with both senior management and team members, as well as navigating company policies and performance expectations, are key aspects of the transition. However, these challenges are valuable learning opportunities that help build strong leadership skills for future advancement.

What is a junior manager?

Junior Managers are entry- or mid-level professionals who assist senior management in overseeing specific teams, projects, or departments within an organization. Typically, Junior Managers serve as a link between staff and upper management, helping to communicate objectives, resolve issues, and support the professional development of their team members. They often have some prior experience or education in management and are expected to grow into more senior leadership roles over time.

Job description

About Altelix

Altelix designs and manufactures high-quality weatherproof electrical enclosures and accessories for commercial, industrial, and wireless applications. As our product line continues to grow, we're looking for a creative and detail-oriented Junior Creative Designer to join our in-house marketing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a designer with a strong foundation in Adobe Creative Suite who wants to expand their skills in product photography, technical product visualization, AI-assisted design, and digital marketing. We have established workflows, templates, and brand standards in place and are looking for someone who is eager to learn, grow, and become an integral part of our creative team.

This position reports to the Web & Marketing Manager.

Working within established design systems and templates, you'll help produce consistent, accurate, and visually engaging content while developing your creative skills in a collaborative environment.

Success in this role comes from creativity, attention to detail, organization, and a willingness to learn—not from knowing everything on day one.

Primary Responsibilities:

Graphic Design

· Create product graphics using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator

· Design website banners, category page banners, promotional graphics, and digital marketing assets

· Produce feature callout graphics, product composites, and product display images

· Create sales sheets, product data sheets, and other product support materials

· Design Amazon listing images using established company templates

· Create new artwork while maintaining Altelix brand standards

· Organize and maintain design files and digital assets

Product Photography

· Photograph new products in our in-house photo studio

· Follow established composition and photography standards

· Capture product, feature, and detail images for web and marketing use

· Organize and maintain the company product image library

Image Editing

· Edit and retouch product photography using Adobe Photoshop

· Remove backgrounds and create transparent product images

· Perform color correction and image optimization

· Create image composites and promotional artwork

· Prepare images for multiple digital platforms

Technical Product Visualization

· Ensure dimensions, product features, and configurations are represented accurately

· Maintain consistency across hundreds of technical product images

· Follow established templates and production workflows to ensure visual accuracy

AI-Assisted Creative Production

· Utilize AI tools such as Google Gemini and Google Flow to assist with image generation and creative production

· Refine AI-generated imagery using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator

· Explore new AI workflows while maintaining brand standards and technical accuracy

Qualifications Required

· 1–3 years of graphic design experience or a strong portfolio demonstrating equivalent skills

· Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop

· Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator

· Strong understanding of layout, typography, composition, and color

· Excellent attention to detail

· Strong organizational and time management skills

· Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

· Portfolio demonstrating creative and technical design abilities

Preferred

· Basic product photography experience

· Experience with studio lighting or photography equipment

· Experience designing for eCommerce or Amazon product listings

· Familiarity with AI creative tools such as Google Gemini, Google Flow, or similar platforms

· Experience working with technical or manufactured products

Portfolio Requirement

A portfolio is required for consideration.

Please include examples of work that demonstrate your proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. We are particularly interested in seeing examples of:

· Photo editing and retouching

· Image compositing and manipulation

· Product-focused graphics

· Digital marketing or web graphics

· Banner or promotional designs

· Technical or informational graphics (if available)

Professional product photography or industrial design experience is not required, but examples are encouraged if available.

We understand that every designer has a different background. If your portfolio demonstrates strong creative fundamentals, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn, we'd love to see your work.

What We're Looking For

This position is designed for someone who wants to build a long-term career in creative design.

You'll have the opportunity to expand your skills in:

· Product photography

· Advanced Photoshop techniques

· Technical product visualization
