Job description

Position Title: Windows and Linux Systems Administrator
Location: San Diego, CA
Clearance Requirements: Active Secret Clearance Required
Position Status: 6-month contract-to-hire
Pay Rate: Converts to $105-115K post
Position Description:
Seneca Resources is hiring a Windows and Linux Systems Administrator to support a critical Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) network and secure enclaves for a federal defense client in San Diego. This is a fully onsite role where you will play a key part in maintaining secure infrastructure, hardening systems to federal standards, and contributing to the design and engineering of new capabilities in a classified environment.
Required Skills/Education:
  • Active Secret clearance
  • IAT Level II certification required: Security+ CE, GSEC, SCNP, or SSCP
  • 3+ years of experience administering Windows 11 systems
  • 3+ years of experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems
  • Proficiency developing and executing PowerShell and Bash scripts
  • Experience with the IAVM process including STIGs and patch compliance
  • Familiarity with DISA hardening standards including STIGs and CTOs
  • Experience maintaining asset tracking databases and developing SOPs
  • Ability to support equipment procurement and coordinate shipping to remote teams

Desired Skills:
  • Automation experience using Ansible playbooks
  • Experience with endpoint security tools and solutions
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in a team-based environment
