Systems Administrator

Collins Aerospace is hiring a Systems Administrator for our Secure Labs support team. A minimum Collateral Secret is required. Qualified candidates should have a passion for technology and be excited about finding new ways to add value to our business.

** This position is onsite in Richardson, TX **

What You Will Do:
  • You will work with one or more of the following technologies: Virtualization, Servers, Clients, Networking, Storage, Backup
  • You will regularly work with other members of the organization as part of a cross functional team
  • You will build strong relationships with customers and peers.
  • You will assist in driving escalations to resolution.
  • You will participate in improvement of internal processes (LEAN/ACE/CORE)
  • You will use your technical knowledge and experience to facilitate resolution of service request and restoration tickets.
  • You will assist with the implementation of technical solutions to support the projects you are assigned.
  • Provide support for the Tier1 and Tier2 infrastructure teams.

  • You will foster relationships with your DT peers across the domestic US.
  • You will learn how to communicate effectively to Engineering leadership.
  • You will learn how to provide ROI based on project performance.
  • You will learn how to apply your knowledge and personal skills to shape projects that have a loose set of requirements.
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree.
  • Active Secret Clearance is needed day one.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Experience supporting technology in a professional environment, secure environment experience preferred:
  • Desktop Support, Server Administration, and Virtualization Technologies (VM Ware, etc.)
  • Linux Systems Administration
  • Networking (important)
  • Compliance frameworks (NIST 800-53)
  • Ability to obtain IAT Level II certification (ex. Sec+). Active cert preferred.

  • Technology certifications (Systems Administration, Cloud, etc.)
  • Security certifications (Sec+, CISSP, etc.)
  • Govt. Security Clearance (Collateral / Secret)
