Job description

Overview

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Senior Landscape Designer to work in our San Antonio, TX office. Requires ~5% travel to client sites throughout south central TX for site visits.


Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a portfolio of landscape architecture projects from site analysis and conceptual design through construction administration, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets (50% of the time).
  • Oversee preparation of design plans, technical drawings, specifications and cost estimates (10% of the time).
  • Provide technical guidance and serve as a subject matter expert on complex landscape design elements including grading, drainage, planting plans, and lighting design (10% of the time). Provide mentorship to junior landscape architects and design staff, fostering a collaborative team environment (10% of the time).
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to clients, stakeholders, and public forums, effectively communicating design concepts, gathering feedback, and representing the firm at meetings (10% of the time).
  • Liaise with clients, government agencies and a wide variety of multidisciplinary professionals including architects, engineers, urban planners and surveyors to ensure cohesive and integrated project outcomes (10% of the time).

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or closely related.
  • 2 y. exp. as a Landscape Architect and/or Designer using AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, Revit, 3DS Max, Photoshop, Lumion, LandFX, Autolux, and Civil 3D.
