Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Sr. Java Developer for a right to hire assignment with one of our premier financial services clients in Irving, TX .
Responsibilities :
  • Responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology Team.
  • The overall objective of this role is to building robust, high-performance, large-scale applications.
Required Skills :
  • Full-stack developer with 7+ years of experience in designing and developing robust, scalable, and maintainable applications applying Object Oriented Design principles
  • Hands-on experience in Web technologies (HTML, CSS), REST-APIs, and Backend using Java/J2EE technologies.
  • Experience with Agile software development processes with a strong emphasis on test driven development
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and experience in tools such as JIRA, BlackDuck, SONAR etc.
  • Demonstrated capacity to build sophisticated tooling for development and production team use
  • Has the ability to operate with minimal level of direct supervision.
  • Java Core with extensive hands-on experience with concurrent programming.
  • Spring Framework including Core, Integration, Batch, JDBC, Hibernate.
  • Databases -RDBMS preferably Oracle, NoSQL preferably MongoDB.
  • Familiarity with Linux environment including scripting skills.
  • SDLC/Dev Ops - Github, CI/CD pipeline frameworks such as Jenkins, SonarQube, JIRA, any secure coding toolkits
  • Ability to lead and coach junior developers
Preferred Skills :
  • Experience with React JS
  • Experience in financial or banking sector, automated testing experience
  • Experience with AI Dev tools such as Copilot
