blueStone Recruiting is a national search firm with a focus of placing top Web and Applications talent from the Analyst level to Directors of Application Development with prestigious organizations nationwide We are working with a prestigious organization who seeking a highly skilled Senior Mobile Developer with experience designing and developing high-performing, large-scale, mission-critical applications. The Senior Mobile Developer will be expected to take on a Technical Lead role to focus on programming and testing various Crew Operations mobile application initiatives that support United's vast flight attendant and pilot population. The individual must have a balance of working experience or knowledge of iOS development using Objective-C, Swift or XCode as well as Middle tier, SOA, API and server side knowledge. 

Job Description
  • Lead the Mobile and Services development teams during the design/build phase of the SDLC
  • Develop mobile standards, repeatable processes, and reusable components
  • Manage and support mission critical Tier 1 applications
  • Ability to creatively architect and design programs to meet the goals and requirements of various projects
  • Meet with end users and technical staff of all types to gather business and system requirements
  • Propose comprehensive solutions based on business and technical requirements
  • Architect, design and develop user interface, service tier and data tier components for Mobile Applications
  • Work closely with Solutions Delivery, Program Management, Quality Assurance, Crew Unions, Business Partners and strategic vendors to ensure solutions and products meet customer needs and drive overall revenue growth
  • Responsible for maintaining architecture documentation, including server, application, storage, network, and monitoring design
  • Assist in grooming junior developers and provide technical and process assistance
  • Maintain cutting edge knowledge of current and emerging technologies, industry trends and standards, modern web browser capabilities, compatibility issues, W3Cstandards compliance and accessibility issues and steer the portfolio in proper technical direction


Qualifications
  • 5-7 years software development experience
  • 3-5 years of experience with iPhone (Objective-C, iOS SDK, and XCODE) and/or Android (Java, Android SDK and Android Studio) development platforms 
  • 3-5 years of large scale critical applications development experience 
  • Working experience with large-scale systems and/or back-end mainframe
