This requisition may be filled at either the Principal or Sr Principal level based on requirements listed below.

Northrop Grumman's Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking aPrincipal or Sr Principal Data Insight Analystto join the DEE IPT to oversee Tableau development for the program. This position will be located inMelbourne, FL. This position is 100% on-site.

The position will follow our 9/80 schedule and allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Essential Functions:

Lead the design and development of comprehensive dashboards and reporting solutions that integrate multiple data sources

Perform advanced data extraction using SQL combined with robust analysis in Excel and visualization using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar

Translate complex business requirements into actionable, visually engaging insights

Work closely with technical teams to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reports

Mentor junior analysts on best practices for data extraction, analysis, and visualization

Basic Qualifications

For Principal (level 3): Bachelor's degree in Business, STEM, or a related field with minimum of 5 years of experience (or Master's degree with minimum of 3 years)

For Sr Principal (level 4): Bachelor's degree in Business, STEM, or a related field with minimum of 8 years of experience (or Master's degree with minimum of 6 years)

Expert-level proficiency in leading data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, or similar) and Excel/MS Office, including advanced pivot tables and chart techniques

Strong SQL skills for efficient data extraction and integration across diverse datasets

Demonstrated ability to convert complex business challenges into data-driven insights

Excellent communication and collaborative skills

Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated U.S. government Secret clearance (must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program

access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company.

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced SQL skills for complex data extraction and integration

Experience with cloud-based data platforms or enterprise data warehouses (e.g., Databricks, Palantir, or Denodo)

Exposure to advanced analytics frameworks and business intelligence best practices

Proven record in developing and implementing reporting best practices and data governance strategies

Proficiency in complementary reporting tools or programming languages (Python, R) to extend dashboard functionality

Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills

Experience in executive-level communication and strategic advisory roles for data-driven innovations

Primary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $111,700.00 - $167,500.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
