Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and proactive Junior IT Operations Engineer to support the reliability, performance, and security of IT systems at our solar manufacturing facility. This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in systems administration, networking, and automation who is eager to grow their skills while contributing to the stability and continuous improvement of a production-critical environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with operations, MES, and security teams to ensure high availability, scalability, and compliance of both on and off premises infrastructure.

Primary Purpose of the Role
โ€ขย ย  ย This is a junior-level IT Operations / Systems Engineer role created to support the expansion of Clientโ€™s new solar manufacturing division.
โ€ขย ย  ย The role focuses on IT operations, server, network, and systems administration support for a large, always-on manufacturing facility.
โ€ขย ย  ย The intent is to bring in someone who can grow under mentorship and eventually evolve into a full Systems Engineer role.

Key Responsibilities
โ€ข Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot on-premises and cloud-based servers, networks, and infrastructure.
โ€ข Implement and manage system upgrades, patches, backups, and recovery processes.
โ€ข Automate routine operational tasks using scripting and configuration management tools.
โ€ข Collaborate with MES and SecOps teams to ensure integrity, security, and compliance of production-line systems and supporting infrastructure.
โ€ข Assist with incident response, root cause analysis, and remediation of system outages or performance degradation.
โ€ข Maintain accurate documentation for systems, processes, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
โ€ข Support the deployment, integration, and validation of new technologies and tools.
โ€ข Ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness for critical systems (e.g., MES, DNS, authentication services).
โ€ข Participate in an on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as required.

Required Qualifications
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience and/or certifications).
โ€ข 1โ€“3 years of experience in IT operations, systems administration, or a DevOps-related role.
โ€ข Working knowledge of Linux and Windows server environments.
โ€ข Experience supporting VMware-based virtualization environments.
โ€ข Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
โ€ข Basic to intermediate scripting skills (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python).
โ€ข Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, SolarWinds).
โ€ข Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, and firewalls.
โ€ข Introductory experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
