Job description

Job Title: Senior Software Engineer (Archer IRM & GRC Solutions)
Role Overview
We are seeking an expert, analytical, and results-driven Senior Software Engineer to spearhead the support, maintenance, and technical enhancement of our enterprise Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) systems. In this role, you will act as a subject matter expert in the Archer IRM ecosystem, guiding junior and intermediate developers through the systems development life cycle (SDLC) while translating complex business requirements into robust technical solutions.
This is a senior-level technical leadership and hands-on engineering role operating within a dynamic Agile/Scrum support model. You will design, build, and deploy custom applications, manage system integrations, ensure adherence to stringent technical and security standards, and mentor team members. If you possess deep expertise in GRC platform architecture and a passion for driving technical excellence, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Design & Solution Delivery
• Platform Architecture: Provide advanced technical support, maintenance, and enhancement activities for enterprise GRC applications across both SaaS and on-premises environments.
• Requirements Translation: Collaborate with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, and IT Infrastructure teams to translate business requirements into detailed system, application, and process designs.
• Full-Lifecycle Execution: Perform analysis, system design, custom programming, application configuration, product installation, and comprehensive testing for medium-to-large-scale projects.
Technical Leadership & Mentorship
• Team Guidance: Direct junior and intermediate developers through the SDLC, providing technical advice, code reviews, and architectural direction.
• Defect Remediation: Lead efforts in the detection, troubleshooting, and remedy of system defects and performance issues identified during testing and production cycles.
• Documentation & Standards: Ensure applications, security configurations, and technical training materials are meticulously developed and maintained in accordance with enterprise standards.
Agile Support & Operations
• Scrum Participation: Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and backlog refinement, ensuring seamless alignment with operational goals.
• Proactive Monitoring: Provide proactive monitoring, alerting, reporting, and communication regarding system availability, application health, and emergency issues.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
• Experience Baseline: Minimum of 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with substantial specialized focus on the Archer IRM platform (covering both SaaS and On-Premises implementations).
• Technical Mastery:
oProven experience across all phases of the systems development life cycle (SDLC).
oStrong process orientation with superior analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret and clarify technical challenges.
oDemonstrated expertise working within iterative and Agile delivery models (Professional Scrum).
oProficiency with Microsoft Office suite and enterprise documentation tools.
• Core Competencies: Demonstrated leadership skills; ability to work independently under tight deadlines and in high-priority situations; excellent interpersonal, conflict management, and written/verbal communication skills.
Preferred Attributes
• Prior professional background working within the utility or energy sector.
• ITIL v3 or v4 certification / operational familiarity.
• Commitment to continuous professional development (e.g., maintaining ongoing technical training hours annually).
