Full Stack Developer
Location: Chicago, Illinois (Partial Remote)
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Developer to design, develop, test, and support modern, scalable applications. This role will work closely with product owners, architects, and various engineering teams to deliver secure, resilient, cloud-native solutions. The ideal candidate has strong software engineering fundamentals and experience building enterprise-grade applications.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise web applications.
  • Build responsive, intuitive user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks.
  • Develop scalable backend services, APIs, and microservices.
  • Design and optimize relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Develop secure RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
  • Participate in system architecture and technical design discussions.
  • Integrate applications with internal and third-party services.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps best practices.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
  • Write automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
  • Mentor junior developers and conduct peer code reviews.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Experience: 5+ years of professional software development experience, including work on enterprise-scale applications and within Agile/Scrum environments.
Technical Skills: A strong understanding of software engineering principles and design patterns is required. Key technologies include:
  • Front-End: React, Angular, or Vue.js; TypeScript/JavaScript (ES6+); HTML5/CSS3; and state management tools like Redux.
  • Back-End: Java (Spring Boot), .NET Core, Node.js, or Python; REST APIs and GraphQL; and microservices architecture.
  • Databases: Experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, or Redis.
  • Cloud & DevOps: Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform; Docker; Kubernetes; and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
  • Development Practices: Proficiency in Git, test automation, secure coding, and performance tuning.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with cloud-native application development.
  • Knowledge of event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus).
  • Experience with OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and SAML.
  • Familiarity with container orchestration using Kubernetes.
  • Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code, preferably with Terraform.
  • Knowledge of AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot.
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, Grafana, or Prometheus.
