Responsibilities

We are looking for a skilled Full Stack Software Engineer with strong expertise in Spring Boot development to join our Enterprise Technology P&C Claims team. We're modernizing our claims platform from legacy systems to AWS. If you have strong fundamentals in software development and at least some of the skills below, you're likely a fit for our openings.

What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, and deploy software solutions across cloud supporting customer and claim operations
  • Maintain and enhance microservices
  • Participate in legacy modernization efforts using strangler patterns and safe cutover strategies
  • Partner with product and operations teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions
  • Conduct code reviews and mentor peers on best practice

Qualifications

Must-Have Skills:

  • 2-5 experience in Java building microservices and applications using Spring Boot framework.
  • Strong background in designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs
  • Hands-on experience deploying and managing applications on a major cloud platform.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript for full-stack development and solid experience with SQL for database querying and management.
  • Candidates will be required to complete a coding challenge. Please note that we expect original work and will not proceed with applicants if we suspect the use of AI tools or any form of assistance that compromises the authenticity of the submitted code.
