ABOUT THE ROLE

Brooksource is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer to support the Modern Sales initiative at a Fortune 200 energy client. Modern Sales is a strategic transformation program focused on modernizing the energy sales process through advanced analytics, data-driven decisioning, and AI-enabled technology. The platform empowers sales teams to leverage customer, market, and operational data to improve decision-making, identify opportunities, and deliver more effective customer interactions.

This is a hands-on senior engineering role requiring strong expertise in React.js, Python, FastAPI, SQL Server, Microsoft Azure, and CI/CD practices. The ideal candidate will be comfortable owning solutions throughout the software development lifecycle, establishing development standards, and ensuring the platform can scale as new capabilities, users, and markets are introduced. You will collaborate closely with data scientists, data engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable, and intuitive solutions.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Design, develop, enhance, and maintain full-stack applications supporting the Modern Sales platform
  • Build responsive, intuitive, and scalable user interfaces using React.js, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
  • Design and develop backend services and RESTful APIs using Python and FastAPI
  • Develop and optimize application data models, queries, and integrations utilizing SQL Server
  • Integrate Modern Sales applications with data platforms, analytical models, AI capabilities, internal enterprise services, and third-party APIs
  • Partner closely with data scientists and data engineers to expose analytical models, recommendations, scoring, and decisioning capabilities through user-facing applications
  • Build modular, reusable application components that can scale as Modern Sales capabilities expand across markets and business units
  • Establish and maintain technical development standards, reusable patterns, coding practices, and application governance across the Modern Sales program
  • Participate in architectural and technical design discussions to ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, secure, and aligned with enterprise technology standards
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines within Azure DevOps, including YAML configurations, automated testing, release workflows, and deployment monitoring
  • Implement unit and integration testing across front-end and backend components to improve application quality and release reliability
  • Participate in Git-based development processes including branching, pull requests, code reviews, merge strategies, and release management
  • Implement structured logging, monitoring, error handling, and observability to support production operations and troubleshooting
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues across the front end, backend services, APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, and application integrations
  • Support application releases, testing, validation, deployment, and post-production stabilization activities
  • Identify technical debt, recurring issues, and opportunities to improve platform performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability
  • Maintain technical documentation covering architecture, APIs, integrations, development standards, deployment processes, and production support procedures
  • Provide technical leadership, code review, and mentorship to junior full-stack developers supporting the Modern Sales program
  • Collaborate across software engineering, data engineering, data science, product, sales, and business teams to ensure Modern Sales capabilities meet both technical and business objectives
WHAT YOU BRING
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience with significant experience building enterprise web applications
  • Strong hands-on experience with React.js and modern front-end development
  • Advanced knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
  • Strong experience developing backend services and RESTful APIs using Python and FastAPI
  • Solid understanding of backend architecture, API design, integration patterns, and application security
  • Hands-on experience with SQL Server, including database design, query development, data access, and performance optimization
  • Experience working with Microsoft Azure, including cloud-based application environments and services
  • Experience establishing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, preferably within Azure DevOps
  • Strong understanding of YAML-based build and deployment configurations

  • Experience writing and executing unit, integration, and automated tests across front-end and backend components
  • Experience building and supporting applications in production environments
  • Understanding of application logging, monitoring, observability, error handling, and production troubleshooting
  • Experience integrating applications with internal APIs, external APIs, data platforms, and enterprise services
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, Agile development practices, and enterprise engineering standards
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
