For more than four decades, Interactive Brokers has focused on technology, automation, and innovation to provide clients worldwide with a sophisticated, unified platform to manage their investment portfolios. We serve individual investors, hedge funds, proprietary trading groups, financial advisors, and introducing brokers.

Our culture is driven by problem-solving, efficiency, and continuous improvement. We look for individuals who are intellectually curious, collaborative, and motivated to contribute to technology that helps simplify and enhance access to global financial markets. About Your Team:

Join our UI brokerage Web Application Engineering team! We build application UIs with web technology that ship inside IBKR's native trading platforms. The majority of our work is embedded directly into the desktop and mobile clients, where it runs seamlessly as part of the native experience, alongside our client-facing web application. We work in a micro frontend architecture built on Vue 3 and TypeScript, which lets us ship independently deployable apps across multiple host platforms. We use AI-assisted and agentic development heavily and are actively building it into our standard engineering practice, with coding agents and AI tooling as part of the team's daily work.

What will be your responsibilities within IBKR:
  • Design and build scalable web applications within the VueJs ecosystem (VueJs, Vuex, Pinia, Vite, Cypress, webpack)
  • Owning and building high-traffic applications with a focus on speed and user experience.
  • Collaborating with colleagues and peers to ideate, plan, and organize large-scale projects.
  • Contribute and help maintain our company-wide Vue UI Component Library
  • Set direction and partner with other frontend engineers to implement new technologies
  • Work with a team of intelligent, intense and fast-moving co-workers.
Which skills are required:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related area
  • 5+ years of commercial software development experience with an emphasis on single-page web app development
  • AI/Agentic Development — must be fluent with Claude Code or similar agentic dev tools; applied AI experience (agents, MCP, AI features in production) is a strong plus
  • Maintain high code quality standards, functional specification documentation, and deliverables.
  • Experience integrating 1st and 3rd party APIs
  • Experience working with webpack and Vite
  • A proactive and enthusiastic attitude and technical orientation are required.
  • The ability to pay attention to detail
Company Benefits & Perks

  • Wellness screening and assessments, health coaches, and counseling services through an Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
