What does a junior front end developer do?

A Junior Front End Developer in a remote role is responsible for building and maintaining the visual aspects of websites or web applications using technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. They collaborate with designers and backend developers to implement user interfaces that are both functional and visually appealing. Working remotely, they use communication tools and version control systems to stay connected with their team, participate in code reviews, and receive feedback for growth. The position is typically entry-level, making it ideal for those who are new to web development and looking to gain experience.

What are some common challenges faced by junior front end developers working remotely, and how can they be overcome?

Junior front end developers working remotely often encounter challenges such as communicating effectively with team members, managing time and productivity without in-person supervision, and quickly resolving technical issues without immediate access to senior developers. • Lead development efforts on Drupal 10-11 projects, including custom modules, integrations, and migrations.
    • Troubleshoot complex issues across environments and provide production support when required, including supporting other internal teams (e.g., the support department) with issue resolution and architecture guidance.
  • Cloud & Serverless Technologies

  • Technical Leadership & Collaboration
    • Serve as a senior technical resource and mentor to future junior developers, providing ad-hoc technical guidance and support across the broader engineering org and partner-agency developers.
    • Establish and follow engineering best practices, documentation, and coding standards.
    • Partner with architects, product managers, and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
