Job description

Leidos is seeking a Scrum Master to directly support the Chief Engineer and Agile Coach across technical execution, multi-cloud operations, and DevSecOps innovation for future work on the U.S. Air Force Cloud One Next (C1N) ACSS contract. In this role, as a member of a Scaled Agile software development organization, you will contribute to the technical execution of a program that integrates proven, globally deployed technologies with modern cloud-native capabilities. You will work alongside cross-functional teams and technical leaders to deliver predictable outcomes in a highly regulated, safety-critical environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the team in executing Continuous Flow/ Kanban or planned sprint activities.

  • Facilitate and lead all team ceremonies, including Refinements/Sprint Planning, Daily Boardwalks/Standups, Retrospectives, and Reviews/Demos, using relevant metrics and data to drive continuous improvement.

  • Actively remove impediments by resolving blocking issues related to feature development, build and dependency challenges, operational support conflicts, and process.

  • Provide timely status, risk, and dependency reporting to management, including sprint execution, team availability, and issues impacting delivery.

  • Help teams design, develop, document, configure, test, and debug applications and frameworks across the full software development life cycle, serving as a key contributor to system enhancements and new features.

  • Help the Agile Coach teach and execute hybrid SAFe 6 and Extreme Programming framework across the program.

  • Help team use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, refactoring, debugging, and test creation.

  • Help team to adopt DevSecOps concepts and tooling.

  • Collaborate with and mentor junior team members to meet commitments and project milestones.

  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional internal teams, stakeholders, and, when necessary, external partners to ensure alignment and successful delivery.

  • Participate in and lead teams through PI Planning events.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field with 8+ years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with 6+ years of prior experience.

  • SAFe 6 Experience/ Knowledge of AI-Native SAFe.

  • SAFe 6 Leading SAFe certification.

  • SAFe 6 Scrum Master certification.

  • SAFe 6 DevOps certification.

  • Significant knowledge of DevSecOps methodology, security, and cloud environments.

  • Understanding of sound software development principles and practices. Knowledge and experience with DevSecOps principles are a must.

  • Experience with version control systems such as Git or Subversion.

  • Experience working as a Team Coach, Scrum Master within the SAFe Framework.

  • Experience with Kanban/Continuous Flow.

  • Understanding of Extreme Programming principles.

  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.

  • Active Secret Clearance.

  • US citizenship required.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of or experience with AI-assisted coding (Claude Code, Codex etc.).

  • Knowledge of or experience with microservices and cloud-based environments.

  • Knowledge of or experience with Terraform / Ansible.

  • Knowledge of or experience with Cloud Certifications.

  • Knowledge of or experience with Operations Experience.

  • Advanced SAFe 6 or AI-Native SAFe certifications.
