What is a Junior DevSecOps Engineer?

A Junior DevSecOps Engineer is an entry-level professional who helps integrate security practices into the software development and operations (DevOps) process. They work alongside developers, IT operations, and security teams to ensure that applications are designed, developed, and deployed securely. Their responsibilities often include automating security checks, monitoring systems for vulnerabilities, and responding to security incidents under the guidance of senior team members. This role is ideal for those with foundational knowledge in IT, security, or development who are looking to grow their skills in the rapidly evolving field of DevSecOps.

What are some common challenges faced by a Junior DevSecOps Engineer when integrating security into the CI/CD pipeline?

Junior DevSecOps Engineers often encounter challenges such as balancing security requirements with the fast pace of development, identifying and remediating vulnerabilities early in the deployment process, and ensuring automated security checks do not disrupt workflow efficiency.
