Title: Sr. ServiceNow Developer
Location: Atlanta, GA
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow solutions, including customizations and integrations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and refine requirements.
  • Customize and configure ServiceNow applications, modules, and workflows.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on the ServiceNow platform.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system designs and user guides.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to the team's technical growth.
  • Stay updated on the latest ServiceNow features and industry best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with coding standards, security policies, and best practices.
  • Conduct code reviews and actively participate in design discussions.
  • Perform Service Mapping, Discovery, and Event Management configurations to improve IT operations.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 5+ years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow development and administration.
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow APIs, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Strong understanding of ITSM and ITOM processes, including workflows and automation.
  • Proven experience with ServiceNow modules such as ITSM (IT Service Management), CSM (Customer Service Management also called PSDS), HAM (Hardware Asset Management).
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies for project delivery.

Preferred Qualifications

Work Environment
  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid
  • Position Type: Contract
  • First day onsite for onboarding.
  • Onsite on demand basis thereafter.
  • Preference will be given to candidates local to Atlanta Metro Area / State of Georgia.
  • Travel to Atlanta for first day onboarding is required.
  • Travel will be at no expense to GDOT.
  • Candidate will obtain computing equipment and ID/Security badge during onboarding.
  • While the intent may be a long-term tenure, this position is subject to annual budget restrictions.
  • Initial contract is through the end of the fiscal year and is anticipated to be renewed July 1st.
  • GDOT will not be providing any raises within the first 2 years. After that point the rate increase will be based on performance and budget dependent.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
