Interested in Human Resources and Recruiting? This opportunity is for you! Join our Talent Acquisition team as an intern, and get exposure to the world of Talent Acquisition. This individual will directly collaborate with hiring leaders, recruiters and other interns and will provide the opportunity to gain practical experience, build vital skills, and forge meaningful connections within the insurance industry.
The Hylant Summer Internship Program
Join our Talent team this fall and spring as a part-time intern and play a key role in recruitment support, and shaping an exceptional Summer Intern Program experience for our 2027 intern cohort. You'll help plan and coordinate engaging events and programming, while also contributing to internal talent communications that connect and inspire. This internship begins part-time in the fall and spring and could continue into the summer, where you'll collaborate with a dynamic cohort of interns and support broader Talent initiatives. The ideal candidate is pursuing a degree in Marketing, Event Management, Human Resources, or Communications and is available to work onsite in Toledo, OH.

  • Work collaboratively with a team, mentored by Hylant leaders, all summer-long! The Hylant Innovation Challenge provides you with the opportunity to research and act as a consultant to the Hylant executive leadership team, solving for questions facing Hylant today and proposing real business solutions.

To qualify for this opportunity candidates should...
  • Be of rising junior, senior, or graduate-level standing at an accredited college or university. Hylant will also accept applications of students who have graduated and earned a college degree within the past seven months.
  • Prior internship experience highly preferred.
  • Maintain an average GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Ability to work from August 2026-May 2027 or later. Some flexibility may be offered.
  • Ability to work 25+ hours per week during business hours.
  • Have interest in a long-term career in HR or insurance.
  • Be involved in extracurricular activities and/or have a part-time job. While not required, we highly recommend getting involved!
  • Major in Marketing, Event Management, Human Resources, or Communications. While not required, some background in these industries will help!
  • Be authorized to work for any U.S. employer.
