Job Summary:

As a Software Development Team Lead at Momentm Technologies, you'll be responsible being a technical leader for our new products. This includes being a Scrum Master, organizing sprints/sprint planning, and overseeing a team of developers working to bring a suite of new products to market. These products are developed using C# and Vue and are constantly evolving. You will work on all aspects of the solution - from the database and server to APIs and user interfaces.

Job Description:

Writing code is only part of your job. You will also be relied upon to review unit tests, review and write feature documentation, and review the code of your fellow team members. You will manage the team, be the strategic advisor and motivator, and lead by example. This is player/coach role where you will actively code, but also manage and oversee the team, working closely with the Product Manager to ensure our new products meet market needs are prioritized accordingly.

We provide a flexible working environment, including flexible hours and work locations. We support hybrid working models that allow employees to split time between home and office, as well as primarily remote work if desired. With offices in Mississauga, ON and Calgary, AB, our workspaces are designed to be flexible and collaborative environments.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years work experience as a software developer or Team Lead.
  • Familiarity working within an Agile environment.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server. Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code) and comfort working alongside AI agents.
  • Familiarity with C#, with knowledge of its ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with front end frameworks (Vue is preferred).
  • Knack for writing clean, commented, readable code.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming.
  • Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
  • Familiarity with working in an Agile environment.
  • Excellent communication skills working internally and with customers.
  • The ability to effectively lead a team and mentor junior developers.
  • Self-motivated with strong energy and drive!
  • Ability to produce quality work in a timely manner.
  • Passionate about technology.

Nice to Have Qualifications

  • Expertise in TypeScript.
  • Experience with agentic development pipelines is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the Non-Emergency Medical Transportation industry.
