Job Description

Provides work leadership to junior level associates through assignment of work, training, coordination and checking of assignments. Serves as a resource to junior level associates in the resolution of complex problems and tasks. Serves as the primary point of contact to internal departments for quality, workflow, product and equipment issues that arise regarding specific production line.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides input to the Value Stream Manager in decision making that has a direct impact on the efficiency on the production line.

  • Must learn all set-ups before starting the production line.

  • Assist all operators and maintenance in trouble shooting equipment.

  • Monitor line operation, performance and down time through-out the shift.

  • Become Product Product Subject Matter Expert thorough product knowledge.

  • Drive continuous improvement via Kaizen.

  • Assure 5s implementation and sustaining.

  • Work with cross-functional teams, engineering, schedulers, and leadership daily.

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to sit and/or stand for 8 hours, or more if working overtime

  • Light Computer skills and ability to read/enter data as required.

  • Ability to read build documentation.

  • Quality/Safety conscious with ability to stay focused and pay attention to detail.

  • Good attendance record and must be able to work 40 hours plus (including weekend work) overtime each week when needed.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

  • Quick learner with ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Must be able to work with light fabrication equipment.

  • Must be able to operate torque equipment. Good hand dexterity.

  • Must be willing to rotate between various positions in the organization based on business needs.

  • Must wear steel toed shoes.

  • Oracle systems knowledge preferred.

  • Basic Soldering skills preferred.

This position requires to be on-site at our Elgin, IL facility.

Target Base Salary Range: $37,200 - $55,700

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
