Job description

Job Title: Jr. Analyst Programmer

Department: IT

Status: Full Time / Exempt

Reports To: Director of IT

The Jr. Analyst/Programmer is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of custom software solutions, under the direction of senior development team members and management.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintains and supports multiple systems including, but not limited to: ERPโ€™s, e-commerce websites, and databases.
  • Develops solutions in accordance with senior development team members and/or management instructions.
  • Ability to identify appropriate team resources needed to implement solutions
  • Demonstrates initiative and works independently as needed to accomplish responsibilities.
  • Acts as an escalation point for support teams during outages or degraded system performance.
  • Evaluate business processes and meet with non-technical department resources to make recommendations resulting in positive company-wide impact.

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or equivalent field, or an associateโ€™s in information technology with 2 (two) or more years of related experience, or 5 (five) or more years of experience in a software related role.
  • Experience working with Microsoft SQL server: querying, stored procedures, index creation/maintenance
  • Familiar with object-oriented programming languages (C#, X++ or related) and an understanding of software development life cycles
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to collaborate effectively with clients, senior management, sales reps, etc.
  • Intellectually curious. Ability to think beyond the basic confines of the role, review data, analyze user and customer needs, and present solutions based on these observations.

Preferred Qualifications, Not Required

  • Microsoft SQL Server administration - development
  • Microsoft Dynamics AX (ERP)
  • Ability to work with and understand business data
  • Proficiency with reporting / KPI tools (Power BI, SSRSโ€ฆ)
