 We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Power BI Developer to join our data analytics team. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of hands-on experience in Power BI, Python, and Azure Databricks, with a proven ability to engage with stakeholders, translate business requirements into technical solutions, and deliver impactful dashboards and insights.

You will enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Design, develop, and maintain advanced Power BI dashboards and reports
  • Integrate data from Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL, and Databricks into Power BI
  • Write Python scripts for data transformation, automation, and advanced analytics
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver data-driven solutions
  • Optimize data models and DAX queries for performance and scalability
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security across reporting platforms
  • Conduct workshops and training sessions for business users on Power BI usage
  • Work closely with data engineers and architects to align reporting with data pipelines

Required Qualifications

  • 5 years of hands-on Power BI experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale semantic models, Direct Lake, Direct Query, and Import-based reporting solutions
  • 5 years of experience in SQL, dimensional data modeling, ETL/ELT design, and data warehouse architecture
  • 3 Years Proven experience designing and supporting end-to-end data platforms, including ingestion, transformation, semantic modeling, reporting, security, and operational monitoring
  • 3 years Experience implementing enterprise security models, including role-based and audience-driven security using Azure AD security groups and Power BI/Fabric security concepts
  • 2 years Experience leading technical teams, mentoring developers/data engineers, establishing development standards, and conducting architecture reviews
  • 2 years of Microsoft Fabric architecture and administration experience, including OneLake, Lakehouses, Warehouses, Semantic Models, Data Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, Notebooks, Deployment Pipelines, and capacity management
  • 2 years of experience with Python and Spark/PySpark for data engineering, transformation, automation, and analytics

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (DP-600) and/or Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) certification
  • Experience defining and implementing Fabric architecture strategy, governance, workspace design, and platform standards
  • Experience with Direct Lake architecture, semantic model optimization, performance tuning, and large-scale reporting environments. 
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with experience leading requirements workshops, architecture discussions, and executive presentations
  • Experience managing production operations, incident management, root cause analysis, and SLA-driven support models
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps, Git integration, CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and release management across Dev/Test/Stage/Prod environments
  • Experience integrating data from APIs, enterprise applications, Databricks, ADLS Gen2, and third-party platforms
  • Knowledge of data governance, lineage, metadata management, and data quality frameworks
  • Experience with AI/ML, predictive analytics, Copilot, or intelligent reporting solutions
  • Prior experience supporting HR, Payroll, Finance, or large enterprise operational reporting environments
  • Good to have experience with Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2), and cloud-based data platforms

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
