We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual for a BI Developer position. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to learn and grow in the field of business intelligence and data analytics. We are looking for someone with a strong aptitude for data analysis and visualization, who is eager to contribute to the development of BI solutions that empower our organization to make data-driven decisions.
Job Description:
Role & Responsibilities
  • Support Solution Design: Assist in gathering and understanding business requirements and contribute to the design of BI solutions under the guidance of senior developers.
  • Data Modeling Assistance: Learn to build and maintain data models, perform data profiling, and assist with data cleansing and transformation activities to ensure accurate and reliable data sources for analysis and reporting.
  • Dashboard Development: Collaborate with experienced developers to create visually appealing and interactive dashboards, reports, and self-service analytics applications.
  • Data Integration Support: Assist in integrating data from various sources, including databases, spreadsheets, APIs, and other systems, to contribute to the creation of a comprehensive and unified data model.
  • Performance Optimization: Learn techniques to optimize data retrieval, calculation, and visualization processes to contribute to the development of efficient and responsive dashboards.
  • Data Governance Awareness: Gain an understanding of data governance principles and support the enforcement of data quality standards, data security, and data governance policies within the environment.
  • User Training and Support: Aid end-users in utilizing BI applications, resolving basic issues, and promoting self-service analytics and data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, data engineers, and data scientists, to understand their requirements and contribute to the delivery of effective solutions.
  • Documentation: Assist in creating and maintaining technical documentation, including design specifications, data models, and user guides, to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintainability of developed solutions.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in business intelligence and data visualization technologies, and actively seek opportunities to expand your skills and knowledge in the field.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field or, equivalent work experience. Knowledge or coursework in data analytics, data modeling, or business intelligence is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of databases, SQL, and data querying principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a passion for working with data.
  • Good communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively within a team.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of business intelligence and data analytics.
  • Self-motivated and able to take direction and feedback from senior developers.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Previous experience in Qlik sense is a plus.

Physical Requirements
  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and scanners.
  • Employees are frequently required to sit, and occasionally required to kneel, reach, stoop, crouch or crawl.
  • This position requires the ability to lift files, open file cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary.

Pay Range:
$76,800.00 - $102,400.00
Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
