Job description

Join the ES&T Engineering Team, where you are not just an engineer, but a beacon of hope for countless patients awaiting their medicines. As a Principal Automation Engineer, each day is a unique symphony of challenges and triumphs. Your role is pivotal in ensuring the timely delivery of life-saving medicines, making a tangible difference in the world. You will perform automation work to complete the commissioning and qualification of new systems.

Work collaboratively with cross functional engineering teams to improve the operational performance of equipment.

You will monitor and troubleshoot running systems to ensure continued plant operations

You will develop solutions, and generate associated change records, to address repeat issues in both automation and production equipment

You will perform investigations into issues that potentially impact multiple Roche/Genentech sites

You will support junior Automation Engineers in their development, as well as in their troubleshooting efforts

You will support building user requirements and design reviews in support of new equipment.

You will preview, and provide approvals on tests generated both by Automation and by other functions.

You will provide feedback to other teams on areas for improvement in regards to Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, etc.

Who you are:

You hold a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.

You have a strong working knowledge of PLCs, You have experience working with SCADA Systems, Human Machine Interfaces, and thin clients.

You have previous experience at troubleshooting complex automation issues to determine root cause.

You have experience integrating automation controls into various factory manufacturing processes.

You have a solid track record of integrating electrical and mechanical systems.

You are able to serve as a member of the 24/7 Rotational On Call Support Team.

Preferred:

You have experience working in an environment utilizing change control and good documentation practices.

You have experience working with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems.

You have experience with Rockwell Automation technologies.

You have a solid track record developing automation solutions.

You have experience working with servo drives, robotics, vision systems, SCADA, mechatronics and motion control.

You have the ability to interpret electrical schematics and P&ID drawings.

Relocation benefits are available for this position.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Hillsboro, Oregon is $94,200 to $175,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
