The Junior Application Developer supports application development activities by assisting with design, configuration, testing, and documentation tasks. This entry level role works under the guidance of senior team members to support the delivery of application solutions that meet user and program requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Work with fellow team members and project leaders to design and develop application solutions.
  • Perform software configuration and customization activities under the guidance of senior developers.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining technical documentation related to application development efforts.
  • Support the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, change management, and transition activities.
  • Work with database administrators, quality assurance staff, system engineers, and network engineers to support data consistency, security, and privacy.
  • Participate in design reviews, development activities, and team meetings as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • BA or BS degree, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of relevant experience to include:
    • 2+ years of hands-on experience with software application design, development, or testing activities.
    • 1+ year of experience with the Appian BPM Platform.
  • Background check required

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting application development projects in an enterprise environment.
  • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum based development methodologies.
  • Experience developing or maintaining technical documentation.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to perform assigned tasks under the oversight of more senior team members
  • Basic knowledge of application development concepts and life cycle processes.
  • Familiarity with application configuration, testing, and documentation practices.
  • Ability to follow technical guidance and apply feedback effectively.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and development practices.
