Work Model: Work Model: You'll work in a hybrid model, onsite at your designated Regal Rexnord location at least 3 days per week (Monday-Thursday), with flexibility to work remotely up to 2 days, including Friday.

Position Summary

The Accountant II position is part of the IPS Segment Accounting team reporting to the Accounting Manager. This role supports centralized accounting activities on behalf of multiple legal entities, working closely with both corporate and local accounting teams. Responsibilities include preparing monthly and quarterly journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany accounting and billings, cash application and supporting ad hoc projects. This position offers strong exposure to the business and opportunities to grow into additional responsibilities over time.

Major Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post monthly and quarterly journal entries, including review of the general ledger for accuracy and proper recording of transactions.
  • Support intercompany accounting activities, including intercompany balancing and invoicing of intercompany billings.
  • Perform timely balance sheet reconciliations and reviews; investigate and resolve variances.
  • Support inventory accounting activities, including standard costing, annual cost updates, booktoperpetual reconciliations, Excess & Obsolete inventory analysis, Lower of Cost or Net Realizable Value assessments, cycle counts, and physical inventory counts.
  • Support cash application activities, including researching unapplied or misapplied cash, and coordinating with AR/AP and local teams to resolve discrepancies.
  • Partner with corporate accounting and local entity accounting teams to resolve accounting issues and ensure accurate financial reporting across multiple entities.
  • Provide accounting and data support to the Operational Management and FP&A teams, as needed.
  • Assist with internal and external audit requests by providing supporting documentation and analysis.
  • Perform all tasks in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), corporate accounting policies, and statutory requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance accounting processes, controls, and close efficiency.
  • Help develop and maintain accounting processes and controls to ensure compliance with corporate standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Protect confidential financial information and contribute to the overall objectives of the IPS segment through collaboration and teamwork.

Required Education / Experience / Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (advanced degree or CPA preferred).
  • 2-5 years of relevant accounting experience.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience with SAP and/or OneStream a plus
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Work Type: Hybrid: This role is eligible for a Hybrid Work Schedule, which requires working a minimum of 3 days per week from your designated Regal Rexnord office and allows up to 2 remote workdays.
