Contract Length: Ongoing

Schedule & Coverage

  • Weekdays: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour unpaid lunch)
  • Weekend Call: Friday 5:00 PM – Monday 7:00 AM (rotating with physicians & APPs)
  • On-Call Coverage: Includes hospital consults and rounding
  • Weekend Rounds: Typically Sunday only (10–12 patients)
  • Hospitalist Team: Manages emergent issues; most consults wait 24–48 hrs
  • Call Burden: Rarely requires return to hospital after initial rounds

Clinical Details

  • Clinic Volume: 18–20 patients per day
  • Case Mix: ~65% Hematology / 35% Oncology
  • Team: 2 oncologists + 4 APPs
  • Scope of Work:
    • Oncologists focus on cancer cases
    • APPs manage most hematology patients
    • APPs also share in call rotation (with oncologist backup)
