Job Summary

The Automation Engineer Jr INDUCTION / NDT will support the production lines and improve all the Induction and NDT equipment in the Plant.

Main Responsibilities
  • Responsible for all Induction and NDT equipment at the facility.
  • Provides technical skill sets on new and installed Induction and NDT equipment, automation projects, process improvements and Troubleshooting.
  • Provide support to maintenance and technical departments as needed to minimize production downtime.
  • Responsible for trouble-shooting challenging equipment/automation issues to improve manufacturing performance (yield, cycle time, reliability, etc.)
  • Analyze and record daily operations, modification and prepare written documentation.
  • Support and train Automation Technician in daily basic activities such as troubleshooting issues and execution of automation projects at the axis Facilities.
  • Support the maintenance Department to diagnostic the induction and NDT equipment related problems on the production Lines.
  • Commissioning of industrial Equipment, high voltage AC and low voltage control (24VDC) power distribution and control systems.
  • Work with PLC Software Allen Bradley/Siemens (monitoring, troubleshooting, and doing modifications on the running programs)
  • Work with VFD's. (Allen Bradley Power Flex, Siemens, and ABB).
  • Work with different kinds of encoders and sensors.
  • Perform Preventive Maintenance assigned on the induction and NDT equipment.
  • Follow up and documentation of any temporary modifications.
  • Work on different shifts and different buildings on the Plant.
Qualifications
  • Electronic Engineering degree preferred
  • Trade School or Industrial Apprenticeship in Electric or Electronic Trades.
  • At least five (5) years’ experience as a journeyman electrician or electronic technician.
    • There may be exposure to adverse weather conditions, extreme cold and heat, handling hazardous chemicals, unpleasant odors, dirt, and dust.
    • The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock.
    • The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals; and vibration.
    • Ability to operate an industrial system computer.
