(Acclaim) is a multi specialty medical group practice comprised of over 500 physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants that partner with JPS Health Network (JPS). As the county health network and Level-1 Trauma Center, JPS has been serving the residents of Tarrant County for over 100 years. Job Description:The Women's and Infants service line at John Peter SmithHospital is a robust multidisciplinary team of physicians and advanced practiceprofessionals who are dedicated to meeting the complete health care needs ofwomen in our community. We provide services and support for women at everystage of life, including but not limited to preventative health care, low andhigh risk prenatal/childbirth/postnatal care, menopause care, urogynecology,and gynecologic oncology evaluation and treatment. Our physicians provide24 hour in house inpatient hospital coverage and we deliver and average of4,000 babies a year.Our Advanced Practice Provider group consists of trusted and experienced nursepractitioners and certified nurse midwives who are committed to providingexcellent health care to women and to ensuring that every child has the bestpossible start in life. They work in concert with our Physicians on a dailybasis and are highly regarded by our patients and their families for theconfidence they engender and the relationships they foster throughattentiveness, responsiveness, and meaningful communication. Position DetailsTuesday - Friday (10-hour day shift)
Well woman, problem gynecology and obstetrics
Diverse patient population with complicated conditions
Duties and Essential Job Functions:
1.Collaborates with the physician in overseeing and coordinating themultidisciplinary care delivered to all patients, to optimize quality patientcare.
2. Reviews patient medical charts to assist physician with diagnosis, treatmentand care management.
3. Makes appropriate patient referrals as necessary.
4. Monitors guidelines for the management of care and for ensuring that theservices are delivered in compliance with the guidelines established by JPSHealth Network and Acclaim Physician Group.
5. Provides care education to patients and families.
6. Provides evidence-based and compassionate care to all patients as assignedto improve patient outcomes and increase patient satisfaction scores.
7. Maintains a collaborative environment with providers, clinical staff, andsupport staff.
8. Supports academic, educational and research endeavors.
9. Attends Performance Improvement Programs and Peer Review committee meetings;and is an active participant in the process.
10. Serves as a resource to the community.
11. Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience:1-2 years' experience as an Advanced Practice Provider inObstetrics and Gynecology
EDUCATION:Completion of a master's or post-master's degree in a nursing programaccredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education (CCNE) orthe National League Accrediting Commission (NLNAC)
OR
Completion of an Accreditation Review Commission on Education forthe Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) approved program (prior to January 2001,completion of a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health EducationPrograms-approved program), or demonstrate completion of an accreditedPhysician Assistant residency program
Required Licensure/Certifications:Current certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center(ANCC), National Certification Corp (NCC), American College of Nurse Midwives(ACNM), or National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants(NCCPA), or an equivalent body.
AND
Current licensure to practice as an APRN or Physician Assistant inthe state of Texas.
