Insight Global is seeking a Tech 2 Mechanic to sit in Kansas City. This individual will perform preventative maintenance (PMs) on commercial tractors and trailers

-Diagnose and repair ABS and brake systems

-Complete DOT inspections and ensure compliance

-Utilize JPRO, OEM diagnostic software, and perform software updates

-Troubleshoot mechanical issues using computer-based diagnostics

-Perform light repair work on wheels, trailer components, and swing doors

What This Role Is NOT

No engine rebuilds

No transmission work

Limited heavy mechanical repairs

Ideal Candidate

Seeking a Technician 2 with experience maintaining commercial tractors and trailers, particularly in preventative maintenance, brake systems, and DOT compliance. The ideal candidate is comfortable using diagnostic software and computer-based troubleshooting tools and enjoys working in a modern, technology-driven maintenance environment. This position is focused on diagnostics, inspections, PMs, and brake repairs rather than major engine or transmission work.


Required Skills & Experience

-2+ years of experience maintaining tractors and trailers

-Experience with ABS and air brake systems

-Ability to perform DOT inspections and preventative maintenance (PMs)

-Experience using JPRO, OEM diagnostic software, and performing software updates

-Strong computer skills and comfort working in a technology-driven shop environment

-Proficient with diagnostic tools and mechanical troubleshooting

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Welding experience

-PM Certification

-Commercial truck experience

-Chauffeur's License
