Job description

We are looking for a FLEET MECHANIC to join our team in Gainesville, FL. As a Fleet Mechanic with Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing mobile heavy equipment and supporting plant maintenance.

About the Role 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on hydraulic systems, ensuring proper operation and minimizing downtime.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools such as JPRO, PPT, and other scan tools to identify and resolve mechanical and electronic issues efficiently.
  • Operate company vehicles as needed, maintaining a valid driver’s license and clean driving record in compliance with company policies.
  • Conduct inspections, maintenance, and repairs on mixer trucks and other heavy-duty equipment, applying experience across various truck and equipment types.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical systems with a focus on electrical components, including wiring, sensors, and control modules.

About You

We Require:

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of one year of technical school training or equivalent hands-on experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Experience repairing diesel and gas engines.
  • Basic knowledge of hydraulic systems and fundamental electrical repair skills.
