Job description

Jordan Park provides investment management and financial advice to a distinct community of individuals, families, and institutions. Our clients have made extraordinary contributions to business, philanthropy, government, and society. Our team is composed of empathetic problem solvers with depth and diversity of experience. We embrace complexity and navigate challenges to empower clients to achieve their optimal outcomes.

2027 Summer Financial Analyst
San Francisco, California | New York, New York
The Opportunity
Jordan Park's Summer Financial Analyst Program is a nine-week experience designed to provide rising college seniors with hands-on exposure to wealth management and the opportunity to learn how we advise and serve clients.
Summer Analysts work alongside professionals across Jordan Park on meaningful client, investment and strategic projects while developing the analytical, technical and professional skills required to succeed in wealth management.
As a Summer Financial Analyst, you will learn how Analysts, Client Service professionals, and Advisors work together to deliver the Jordan Park client experience. You will also gain exposure to other areas of the business, including Investment Management, Family Office Services, and Business Enablement. Rather than rotating through various departments, you will gain in-depth experience working with an Advisory team, contributing to real workstreams and high-impact projects while collaborating with professionals across the firm. The Summer Financial Analyst program also includes structured training, roundtable discussions with senior leaders across the firm, and a team-based case study that brings together the concepts and skills developed throughout the summer.
The Summer Financial Analyst Program is an important part of Jordan Park's early career talent pipeline. Successful Summer Analysts may be invited to join Jordan Park's two-year Analyst Program following graduation.
What You Will Do
Summer Analyst responsibilities may include:
  • Support investment, portfolio and financial analysis, including asset allocation research, scenario modeling, wealth projections and other client-specific analyses
  • Partner with Financial Analysts and other team members on client reporting, portfolio-related activities and day-to-day client service
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects designed to improve the client experience, strengthen internal processes or advance strategic firm initiatives
  • Prepare and review client-facing presentations, analyses and other materials with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Develop financial tools, analyses and resources for client or internal use
  • Use AI and other emerging technologies to help solve problems, identify opportunities to improve processes and develop more efficient ways of working, while critically evaluating outputs and applying sound judgment

The specific projects assigned to each Summer Financial Analyst will vary based on business needs and provide exposure to different aspects of the firm.
What You Will Experience
In addition to project-based work, the Summer Financial Analyst Program includes:
  • A structured onboarding and training program introducing you to Jordan Park's business, clients, technology and ways of working
  • Exposure to professionals and leaders across the firm's business areas
  • Educational programming focused on wealth management, investments, client service and the different career paths available at Jordan Park
  • Opportunities to build relationships with fellow Summer Financial Analysts and colleagues throughout the firm
  • Ongoing coaching and feedback designed to support your development over the course of the summer
  • A capstone experience that challenges you to synthesize what you have learned and present your recommendations clearly and persuasively

What We're Looking For
You are a rising senior pursuing a bachelor's degree and graduating in 2028 who is interested in learning about wealth management and building a strong foundation for an early career in financial services. We value intellectual curiosity, independent thinking and sound judgment. We are interested not only in the conclusions you reach, but also in how you approach a problem and communicate your reasoning.
Candidates should also have working proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Previous coursework or experience in finance is helpful but not required; a genuine interest in learning the wealth management business is essential. Successful Summer Financial Analysts demonstrate the following competencies:
  • Learning Agility & Business Acumen: You are curious about the wealth advisory business, ask thoughtful questions, apply what you learn and seek to understand how your work connects to broader client and business objectives.
  • Analytical Thinking & Problem Solving: You break down problems, evaluate information critically, identify patterns and develop thoughtful, practical solutions.
  • Technical & Digital Fluency: You are comfortable using Excel and other digital tools to complete work efficiently and are willing to learn new technologies, including Jordan Park's systems and AI tools.
  • Client & Service Orientation: You bring a service mindset to your work by anticipating needs, responding promptly and contributing to an exceptional experience for clients and internal partners.
  • Communication: You communicate clearly and professionally in written and verbal interactions, listen actively and adapt your communication appropriately for different audiences.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork: You build positive working relationships, share information, support teammates and contribute to the success of the broader team.
  • Coachability & Growth Mindset: You seek and accept feedback, apply it constructively and demonstrate resilience and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Professionalism & Accountability: You follow through on commitments, manage your time effectively, take responsibility for your work and communicate proactively when questions, challenges or potential delays arise.
  • Quality & Attention to Detail: You take pride in producing accurate and thorough work, review your work carefully before submitting it and work to identify and resolve errors independently.
  • Initiative & Ownership: You look for opportunities to add value, take ownership of your responsibilities, work independently when appropriate and follow through with minimal supervision.
  • Culture & Inclusion: You demonstrate respect, integrity and inclusiveness, contribute positively to the team's culture and support Jordan Park's values.

Program Details
