ProSidian Seeks a Joint Commission Surveyor (Contract Contingent) in Honolulu, HI to support an engagement for an independent agency of the United States Federal Govt. that is primarily responsible for administering foreign and domestic protection to United States civilians and resourcesÂ
The ProSidian Engagement Team Members work to provide mock surveys to a variety of Medical Treatment Facilities (MTFs) in HI, WA, AK, South Korea, and Japan that meet JC requirements and standards in order to gauge and enhance performance and compliance of those facilities.
Joint Commission Surveyor Candidates shall work to support requirements for PR0001 Program Support and produce consultation, education, analysis, and evaluation to identify areas of strength, opportunities for improvement, and recommendations on how to meet the intent of the regulatory standards by performing a number of JC mock surveys in different MTFs throughout the Regional Health Command Pacific. The Joint Commission Surveyor will be expected to survey, identify, correct, and train as it relates to the JC standards for Hospitals, Ambulatory Care, Behavioral Health, Life Safety Code, Primary Care Medical Home, and Alcohol/Substance Abuse Programs.
Additional responsibilities of the Joint Commission Surveyor include:Â
- Providing mock surveys during non-JC window time-frames and during JC window time-frames
- Evaluating and analyzing information gathered from the surveys
- Meeting with and discussing survey information with organization
- Participating in telephone conferences and consultations with the organization and government
- Producing reports following each survey and a final written report within 10 days of each survey
The Joint Commission Surveyor shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past three (3) years, Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/Power point) and related tools and technology required for the position. Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria. The candidate shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner that meets milestones/delivery schedules as outlined.
The Joint Commission Surveyor must be a medical professional trained as a JC Surveyor with on-site mock surveying experience of at least one (1) year in the last three (3) years in their specialty area (Behavioral Health, Hospitals, Ambulatory Care, etc). The Surveyor must be capable of writing a comprehensive report within JC standards, have full knowledge of elements of performance, and be able to utilize the Tracer methodology. Surveyors must have a minimum of three (3) years previous experience with the JC as either a certified surveyor, with the Central Office, and/or Special Survey Unit committe, and must have experience with military medicine, healthcare facilities, and systems provided by the US Army and/or the Department of Defense within the last ten (10) years.
Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria. The candidate shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner that meets milestones/delivery schedules as outlined.
TRAVEL:Â Travel is REQUIRED. Travel as coordinated with the technical point of contact and approved in writing by the Contracting Officer in advance, is allowed, in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations.
LOCATION:Â Work shall be conducted in HI, WA, AK, South Korea, and Japan.
