Overview

Reports to: Director, Marketing

FLSA Status: Full-Time, Salaried-Exempt

Normal Working Hours - Office Hours: 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, in our corporate San Antonio office.

As a Marketing Coordinator, you will play a key role in amplifying Joeris' brand and ensuring its marketing efforts reflect the company's mission to "transform people and places" and strategic objectives. This dynamic position prioritizes creativity, storytelling, and branding over traditional proposal creation, allowing you to directly shape Joeris' public image. Working within the Marketing Communications (Marcomm) domain (a specialized team within the broader marketing department) you will support and coordinate a variety of initiatives, including project photography, social media content development, graphic design, website maintenance, internal communications, and event support. In addition, you will collaborate with consultants, your fellow Marcomm domain and Proposal domain teammates to deliver cohesive, impactful materials that strengthen Joeris' market presence.

Responsibilities
  • Social Media Content Development and Post Management
    • Assist in development and scheduling of engaging social media content to showcase Joeris' projects, events, and milestones.
    • Collaborate with team members to ensure posts align with company messaging and branding.
  • Photography Coordination
    • Coordinate project photography and manage photography scheduling with project teams across all business units.
    • Assist with monthly headshot photography and event photography, including edits and organization. May require some travel.
  • Graphic Design Support
    • Assist with graphic design tasks for marketing collateral.
  • Website Updates and Maintenance Support
    • Execute updates to project pages, blogs, leadership profiles, etc.
    • Write and review blog content.
    • Apply SEO best practices to ensure content visibility and search rankings.
  • Internal and External Communication Support
    • Develop internal content for the employee newsletter and update digital office display templates.
    • Develop content for external email campaigns and other external communications.
  • Event Support
    • Provide graphic design, apparel and promotional item ordering, and equipment coordination support for Joeris events.
  • Administrative Support of Employee and Signage Digital Storefronts
    • Assist in catalog updates, store back-end support, and vendor relationship management.
  • Awards Writing
    • Gather data from project teams and departments to craft compelling award submissions.
  • Collaborate with Proposal Domain Teammates
    • Participate in meetings and activities with Proposal Domain teammates to improve the quality of proposals delivered by the marketing team.
    • Offer branding and visual support to ensure proposal materials align with Joeris' brand standards and messaging.
  • Perform additional marketing and administrative tasks as assigned by the Director of Marketing or Marketing and Pursuits Manager and in collaboration with MarComm teammates.
  • Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with degree or coursework in Marketing, Communications, or Business, including but not limited to Advertising, Public Relations, Journalism, Media Studies, Business Administration, Creative Writing, and Graphic Design.
  • Professional Marketing or Communications experience (1-3 years preferred)
  • Experience with graphic design and content development
  • Experience with digital marketing including website management, social media, and writing blog posts
  • Experience with professional writing
  • Experience with branding and writing to brand voice and brand guidelines
  • Skills
  • Proficiency in the use of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Sharepoint
  • Familiarity with cloud-based marketing applications such as Canva and ScreenCloud
  • Familiarity in photography and photography editing
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
