Since 2010, they have earned a reputation for exceptional craftsmanship, personalized client experiences, and building architecturally distinctive homes in some of the region's most prestigious communities. As their project pipeline continues to grow, they are looking to add an Assistant Superintendent who is eager to learn the luxury custom home industry and develop into a Superintendent. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone who is motivated, hardworking, and looking for a company that invests heavily in developing future leaders.

Position Overview

This individual will gain firsthand experience managing subcontractors, coordinating schedules, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring every detail meets the company's exceptionally high expectations.

This position is ideal for someone who is early in their construction career, enjoys being in the field, and wants to grow into a leadership role with a builder that promotes from within.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Superintendent in managing daily field operations on luxury custom home projects.
  • Coordinate and communicate with subcontractors to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
  • Monitor construction progress while maintaining the highest standards of craftsmanship and quality.

  • Conduct daily site walks to verify work complies with plans, specifications, and company standards.
  • Assist with material deliveries, jobsite organization, and project logistics.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite while enforcing OSHA and company safety policies.
  • Participate in homeowner, architect, and trade partner meetings as needed.
  • Assist with inspections, punch lists, and project closeout.
  • Complete daily reports, progress photos, and field documentation.

Qualifications

  • 1–5 years of residential or commercial construction experience.
  • Previous experience as an Assistant Superintendent, Project Engineer, Field Engineer, Lead Carpenter, or similar field role is preferred.
  • Degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or a related field is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong work ethic with a desire to build a long-term career in luxury residential construction.
  • Ability to read construction drawings and specifications is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Positive attitude, coachability, and willingness to learn from experienced builders.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced field environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with construction management software is a plus.

What Our Client Offers

  • $58,000–$68,000 base salary, depending on experience.
  • Clear advancement path to Superintendent and future field leadership roles.
  • Direct mentorship from experienced luxury home builders.
  • Opportunity to work on architecturally significant custom homes valued in the multi-million-dollar range.
  • Stable project pipeline with a respected, relationship-driven builder.
  • Collaborative culture that values integrity, craftsmanship, teamwork, and continuous learning.
  • Competitive benefits package including health insurance, paid time off, and additional company-sponsored benefits.

If you're looking for more than just a job and want to build a long-term career with one of Northern Virginia's premier luxury custom home builders, we'd love to hear from you.
