Job description

Traveling Superintendent

Falcon Construction is seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent to join our growing team. This is a full-time, nationwide travel position overseeing commercial retail, restaurant, and franchise buildouts throughout the United States.

The Traveling Superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day management of assigned jobsites, including coordinating subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, ensuring quality and safety standards are met, and working closely with the Project Manager to successfully complete each project.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all day-to-day construction activities on assigned jobsites.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and vendors.
  • Ensure work is completed according to project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Monitor project schedules and proactively identify and address potential delays.
  • Ensure project health and safety plans are properly implemented and maintained.
  • Conduct weekly jobsite safety meetings.
  • Coordinate with inspectors and local authorities as required.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the Project Manager.
  • Review plans and identify potential field conflicts or constructability issues.
  • Maintain an organized, professional, and safe jobsite.
  • Assist with punch list completion and project closeout.
Requirements
  • 3–5+ years of commercial construction superintendent experience.
  • Retail, restaurant, franchise, or other fast-paced commercial buildout experience preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to travel nationwide.
  • Advanced knowledge of Procore is required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of construction drawings, schedules, sequencing, and jobsite operations.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to independently manage a jobsite and coordinate multiple subcontractors.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Basic hand tools for minor jobsite needs.

Physical Requirements
