Job description

Meridian Title is one of the nation's largest independent title agencies with over 80 years of experience in providing title insurance coverage, escrow closings, and real estate related services. We're always looking for energetic and self-motivated individuals to join our team of title and escrow experts. We currently have an opening for a Title Tech that can be located in any of our Central Indiana offices.
Title techs perform various clerical tasks as directed by our title officers. The position is responsible for incoming and outgoing correspondence, proofreading, filing, and copying. This position prepares documents and instructions for closing transactions.
Essential Functions
  • Address incoming emails, both external and internal, for corrections to Title Commitments and CPLs for assigned region
  • Review and prepare downdated Title Commitments preclosing, escalate any new issues to closing staff
  • Create invoices for non-closing update files
  • Escalate title issues to appropriate internal staff
  • Communicate clearly with internal staff
  • Communicate professionally with customers
  • Regular, predictable attendance is required

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic title search knowledge and understanding of recorded documents preferred.
