A job offer can be made verbally or in writing, but it is usually formalized with a written letter or contract. Accepting a job offer marks the beginning of the employment relationship between the employer and the employee.

After receiving a job offer, it's common for candidates to enter a negotiation phase where salary, benefits, start dates, and other terms may be discussed. Employers generally expect some negotiation, so it's important to approach the process professionally and be prepared to justify your requests with research and examples. Communication is typically conducted via email or phone with a recruiter or hiring manager. Being clear about your priorities and showing flexibility can help reach a mutually beneficial agreement. Remember to get any agreed-upon changes documented in your official offer letter.
