Working Steel Construction Foreman
Job Summary

Michiana Steel Erectors has more than 30 years of steel erecting experience in the Michiana area, based in Elkhart, IN
We specialize in erecting pre-engineered metal buildings, conventional steel buildings, and single and multi-story storage buildings. 

We are seeking an experienced Steel Foreman to lead a crew on commercial and industrial steel erection projects. 

Job Qualifications

  • Valid Driver's License (required)
  • 5+ years of PEMB experience
  • Minimum 2 years of foreman or crew lead for PEMB 
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints

Skills

  • Perform physically demanding work in all weather conditions.
  • Walk beams, and operate from aerial lifts
  • Lift 50+ pounds regularly


Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Working foreman to lead and supervise a crew of team members on the erection of pre-engineered metal buildings, sheeting, roofing, trim, and other jobs as assigned. 
  • Promote and execute safety huddle meetings and ensure proper safety and PPE are used at all times. 
  • Complete accurate time cards and document all T&M work properly
  • Responsible for directing and executing daily plans
