Job description

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Coordinator / Project Manager Assistant for ground-up custom home construction and remodels. This is a full-time, long-term position that requires optimum performance from a construction professional knowledgeable of materials, means, and methods of construction. The ideal candidate possesses the ability to work with the Project Superintendent to ensure a smooth process for the homeowner and trade partners of each assigned construction project.

Compensation:

$60,000


Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Project Superintendent in developing and implementing assigned project budgets, including schedules, RFI's, Change Orders, Submittals, and Project Documentation as needed.
  • Assist the Project Superintendent in all preliminary construction activities such as kick-off meetings, awarding contracts, project setup, etc.
  • Assist the Project Superintendent in ensuring the efficient and smooth coordination of Project Operations. Also assist with ensuring field personnel have all the information required to perform their tasks.
  • Gather plans and specs for building permit submittal.
  • Obtaining Dust Permits for all projects. This includes issuing dust permits, signage, and keeping all permits current.
  • Acquiring utilities hook-ups as needed
  • Attend weekly reviews of each assigned work project to go over the status of each project.
  • Responsible for processing, distributing, and filing assigned project documentation from the Project Superintendent, Architect / Engineers, Subcontractors and homeowner.
  • Assist in Project Closeout, including punch list management and administration, operating manuals, warranties and guarantees, electronic records, and as-built drawings. Archive project files when the project is complete.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of project coordination and administrative experience with a construction firm.
  • Experience using ProCore software preferred but not required.
  • Proficient with Excel, MS Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience dealing with standard construction documentation such as Change Orders, Submittals, Schedule Interpretation, and Professional Correspondence.
  • Have a general knowledge of project construct ability, construction document tracking, and filing.
  • Must be detail-oriented and be able to prioritize work.
  • Must work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • The ability to read blueprints/plans is highly preferred but not required.
