Board Member - Polycreek (Volunteer Seat)

Organization Overview:

Polycreek is a technology-driven nonprofit dedicated to ending online child abuse. Through advanced AI systems, Polycreek detects grooming behavior, identifies harmful content, and reports abuse to the appropriate authorities, working to create a safer digital environment for children worldwide!

The organization serves children, families, and online platforms by combining innovation, ethical responsibility, and collaboration to proactively prevent harm and protect vulnerable populations.

Position Summary:

Polycreek is seeking mission-aligned individuals to join its Board of Directors. Board members play a critical role in guiding organizational strategy, ensuring ethical and effective use of technology, and supporting the growth of AI-driven solutions that combat online exploitation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic oversight and guidance as Polycreek scales its technology and impact
  • Support organizational governance, compliance, and fiduciary responsibility
  • Contribute expertise in areas such as AI/technology, trust & safety, legal, philanthropy, or operations
  • Assist in fundraising, partnerships, and external engagement efforts
  • Serve as an ambassador for Polycreekโ€™s mission and values
  • Uphold strong ethical standards, particularly around privacy, safety, and responsible AI use

Qualifications:

  • Strong commitment to protecting children and preventing online harm
  • Alignment with Polycreekโ€™s core values: safety, innovation, integrity, and collaboration
  • Professional experience in one or more of the following areas is highly valued:
  • Artificial intelligence / machine learning
  • Cybersecurity or trust & safety
  • Nonprofit governance or legal/compliance
  • Fundraising or philanthropy
  • Victim advocacy or child protection
  • Ability to think strategically and contribute at a governance level
  • Prior board experience preferred

Time Commitment:

  • Approximately 10 hours per month
  • Participation in regular board meetings (Monthly)
  • Committee involvement based on expertise

Location:

Remote (U.S.-based preferred, global candidates welcome)

This is a volunteer board position; no financial compensation is provided and no donations are expected on behalf of the board members.
