The Sea, Land, Air Analysis Group's mission is to deliver objective analyses, plans and strategies to US Navy, US Marine Corps, USAF, other DoD, and Australian Defence Force clients to support technology development, acquisition, delivery and sustainment decisions. The group provides the core of SPA thought leadership on Undersea Strategy, Software Development and Cost Estimating, with additional benchmark capabilities in AI/ML & Decision Analytics, Modeling and Simulation, and Future Force Assessments.

SPA has a need for a senior IAMD Technical Analyst to conduct analysis and staff support on integrated air and missile defense issues for AF/A10. This role helps turn technical and operational IAMD information into clear recommendations and staff products.

Responsibilities

The IAMD Technical Analyst reviews and analyzes IAMDrelated policies, concepts, studies, and meeting outputs to identify implications for AF/A10 equities. They prepare point papers, white papers, decision memos, and briefings that explain IAMD options, risks, and tradeoffs for senior leaders. They coordinate with AF/A3, MAJCOMs, Joint organizations, and external stakeholders, supporting AF participation in IAMD meetings, exercises, and wargames. They also help track and manage IAMD staff packages, ensuring AF/A10 inputs are timely, consistent, and well supported.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations research, international security, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in IAMD, missile defense, air defense, or related operational/analytic work in a headquarters, MAJCOM, or joint environment
  • Strong analytic and writing skills, with experience producing decisionsupport products on complex technical or operational topics
  • Active TS/SCI clearance and the ability to maintain it throughout employment

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting or analyzing IAMD, defensive counterair, or counterUAS missions
  • Familiarity with PPBE and requirements processes as they apply to IAMD capabilities
Pay Range InformationAt SPA, we strive to deliver a robust total compensation package that will attract and retain top talent.
