Job description

Sr. Network Security Engineer
Location: Spring, TX. Hybrid.
Type of Job: Contract.

Qualifications:

Mandatory Skills: Checkpoint, Fortinet, Palo Alto

A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

  • 8+ years' experience mid-large global enterprise networking infrastructure
  • Extensive experience with PAN Palo Alto Networks, Juniper or Fortinet firewalls
  • Experience managing on-prem and cloud firewalls and utilizing security best practices
  • Experience with firewall management tools and technologies such as, Panorama, Firemon, Prisma access, IPSec, Global Protect VPN
  • Experience with monitoring and visibility platforms Splunk, NetBox, Kentik and Grafana, Protocol Analyzer, SNMP, IPAM, RADIUS, network taps, and load/stress testing tools
  • Experience with other networking vendors and technologies is a plus; Arista, Juniper, switching & routing, spanning-tree, OSPF, BGP, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, end to end QOS, VRRP, LACP, MLAG, ACLs.
  • Experience with automation to generate and push config at wide scale and collect performance metrics
  • PCNSE, CWNA/CWSP, JNCIP preferred
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues
  • Troubleshoot end to end security issue acaffecting networks using command line tools
  • Work closely with team members to effectively enhance, implement, and configure network security technologies that are scalable and enhance detection and response.
  • Strong professional and interpersonal skills with the eagerness to work collaboratively with others.
  • Incorporate lessons learned from incident investigations to improve monitoring, alerting, and automation capabilities.
